Senior Litigation Attorney
Locations: Houston, TX or San Antonio, TX

A nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its expanding litigation team in Houston or San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity to handle sophisticated insurance defense and personal injury matters within a collaborative and well-resourced environment.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can independently manage cases and bring strong courtroom presence. The position involves hands-on responsibility from case intake through trial and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle insurance defense and personal injury matters
* Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings and discovery
* Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and mediations
* Draft and argue motions
* Conduct and defend depositions
* Partner with colleagues and clients on case strategy
* Maintain organized files and meet deadlines consistently

Qualifications

* 6+ years of litigation experience
* Active Texas bar license required
* Strong trial preparation and courtroom experience
* Significant motion practice and deposition experience
* Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

* Base salary range: $165,000 to $185,000
* Annual discretionary bonus eligibility
